YOUTH AGRICULTURAL COOPERATIVE

The agricultural cooperative's project is designed to improve the nutrition of families through the immediate consumption of the crops but also with a surplus that allows them extra income for the economies of these families.

The NGO has 4 hectares ready to cultivate, but it will start by conditioning 1 hectare to see how it works.

Currently there is a well and 4 tanks that distribute water throughout the land.

The generator that pumped the water is broken and they are asking for a water pump with solar panels, since the fuel pump that has been broken and they used until now is very expensive to maintain.

At the moment they water manually but with the first profits and the NGO's investment it is planned to make a drip irrigation system and high tanks to be able to send the water to the whole land.

It is also requested to make a fence that covers the perimeter of the land to prevent animals from entering and eating the sprouts.

Those in charge of the land and the cultivation would be the young people advised by an agronomist and they would have the collaboration of the women in the sale and distribution of the surplus. The profits would be reinvested in the expansion and sustainability of the operation.
