WHAT WE DO
ORIGIN
We are a group of Maresme citizens who, eager to collaborate with a Gambian women's cooperative, started this NGO in order to channel efforts and resources.
We have a philosophy of proximity and small projects, we have direct communication with a Gambian collaborator on the ground (Dawda Sankareh) with whom we work fluidly.
Based on the needs transferred from Bajakunda, where the women of the cooperative live, we get active and look for the necessary resources or material to be able to facilitate the execution of different small projects.
We invite you to take a look at all that we have done and continue to do on a regular basis.
BECAUSE
Prices of staple foods in Africa have continued to rise in recent years, while unemployment and economic imbalances are increasingly separating rich nations from southern countries.
The crisis exacerbates the precarious situation of some territories of this continent, in which despite the great wealth of natural resources, the lack of funding, initiative, political centralism or practices such as the corruption, have been a brake on its development.
Offer decent work in rural areas and contribute modestly to stopping the exodus of sub-Saharans to Europe. As well as encouraging the investments of Gambians in their country of origin in order to dynamit the poor economy of the area.
